Introduction

Born in Osaka in 1972, Chiharu Shiota has been living and working in Berlin since 1997. Famous for her performances and monumental installations, Chiharu Shiota creates a world both poetic and violent, soft and melancholic, where she explores subjects such as memory and souvenir, dream, traces of past and childhood.
