Introduction

Born in 1968 and graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) in Beijing, Mao Yan is currently living and working in Nanjing. Mao Yan is a prominent painter best known for his skillful portraitures. Mao Yan’s works are often soft colored and show the human figure in a “quiet and poetic” dimension.
